What is ‘Rounding’?

Rounding is designed to purify the mind and body at the deepest level. This process consists of a specific sequence of gentle yoga poses (asanas), balancing breath work (pranayama), meditation, and horizontal rest. You will complete several rounds a day, and in this way, will let go of exponential amounts of stress. The retreat schedule will also offer space to integrate, luxuriate and enjoy the sanctuary.

Who is the retreat for? Those wishing to:

  • Deepen your personal meditation practice

  • Profoundly let go of stress in a short amount of time

  • Experience deep healing in the lush lands of Bali

  • Connect with other meditators in our beautiful community and make life-long friendships

  • Rest, take space and truly nurture yourself

What if I'm new to meditation:

Rounding can be learnt and practiced at any stage of the journey. For those who have not learned the practice yet (or those wanting a refresher), you will receive instruction on the first day. You need to have learned Vedic Meditation beforehand - please be in touch so we can arrange this, there is the option of learning with me here in Bali prior to the retreat.

What will the food be like:

  • Absolutely delicious!

  • All meals are vegetarian cooked with fresh produce and will follow Ayurvedic principles

  • We will cater to specific requirements as best we can

  • Note - all of the food is prepared very hygienically, with filtered water

I have no yoga experience or am pregnant or have an injury, can I participate:

  • No yoga experience is required. We have modifications for those who have injuries or are pregnant.

Is there an opportunity to receive mentoring with Jess:

Jess will be offering a few accelerated mentoring sessions for those who would like to include that in their experience.

What kind of room will I be in:

  • The retreat venue has a variety of room styles (all of which are absolutely beautiful), and some are bigger than others. We will place you on a first come, first serve basis.

  • If you come with a friend you can choose to share a room with them, otherwise Jess will pair you with someone you’ll get on with. The property is very spacious so you’ll have plenty of time & space to yourself.

How do I keep myself healthy in Bali:

Jess will send a comprehensive list of resources and suggestions for what to pack so that you can keep yourself healthy on the retreat. In the unlikely event that you should need medical support, we recommend you buy travel insurance that includes medical.

What travel advice do you have when coming to Bali:

The retreat officially starts at 6pm on Friday 18th October. From the airport, travel time will vary a lot depending on traffic. I would make sure that you land in Denpasar Airport by 2pm, or the day before to acclimate. Ideally, if you have space, I would add on a few days following the retreat to give yourself more space and time to luxuriate in the integration. The retreat will officially end at midday on Thursday 24th October.

A travel visa can be purchased upon arrival (Visa on Arrival) which will give you up to 30 days stay.

Each to their own, you may like to include travel insurance which also covers medical expenses in the very slim chance you get sick.
