About The Event
Ayurveda - translates from the two sanskrit words 'Ayus' and 'Veda'. 'Ayus' means life or longevity and 'Veda' means knowledge. Essentially, it is the ancient Science of Life. The Veda is the ancient body of wisdom from where we get Yoga and Meditation.
In the workshop you'll:
- learn about the 5 naturally occurring elements and how we can detect them in nature and in ourselves
- explore the 3 doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha - bodily intelligences) and how they influence the physiology, time of day, seasons
- receive plenty of tips and tools for an Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle that help you to live in tune with your body's needs. You'll also receive some of my staple recipes!
Going into autumn, where the environment is getting colder and drier, it is a great time to learn how to warm and nourish yourselves!
